Blood Bank of Delmarva (BBD) is incredibly grateful to be selected as a beneficiary of the Delaware City Refining Company‘s Annual Charity Golf Outing!
On September 11, BBD Account Manager Gia Rivera and Director of Donor Recruitment Joanna Arat joined representatives from 21 other Delaware nonprofits for a check presentation and the opportunity to share more about the lifesaving impact of blood donation.
The gathering was especially meaningful as it took place on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001—a day that reminds us of the importance of coming together to support our communities and one another.
The breakfast was hosted at the Delaware City Fire Company, which went above and beyond by also hosting a blood drive during the event. We’re so thankful for their continued support of community blood drives and for everyone who helped make this day possible.
